Unlocking the value of education beyond
classroom walls into real life
Webinar 12 – The Role of Teachers in Building New India
With the recent roll out of AI tools, there was a growing belief among educators that teachers will be replaced by AI.
This couldn’t be further from the truth.
Teachers were, are, and will be the strongest pillars of our education system. Without them entire structure will come crumbling down.
If anything, the role and responsibilities of teachers have now increased globally, and more so in India, where we in the middle of a transition.
As India embarks on a transformative journey with the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the function of teachers becomes even more significant in building the foundation of a new India.
NEP 2020 envisions a holistic and learner-centric education system, focusing on experiential learning, critical thinking, and a multidisciplinary approach.
And we count on none other than our teachers…
- To inspire and ignite the spark of curiosity in young minds
- To cultivate skills such as creativity, problem-solving, and adaptability among students
- To foster a love for learning and help students discover their interests and talents
- To build inclusive classrooms, ensure no child is left behind and every student receives personalized attention
- To become the torchbearers in shaping students’ character, resilience, and emotional well-being
With the implementation of NEP 2020, teachers are encouraged to explore and adopt innovative teaching methods that promote active engagement and collaboration. Furthermore, to enable teachers adapt to the changing dynamics of education, NEP 2020 encourages professional development and continuous learning, creating an environment of growth and innovation.
The role of teachers in building New India cannot be overstated. However, we have to vividly redefine them so our teachers have a clear direction to drive our education system in.
This is what we’ll attempt to do in our next webinar called The Role of Teachers in Building New India.
Join us along with stalwarts of teaching as we explore and redefine the role of teachers in today’s India. It is only with their guidance, expertise, and passion for teaching that we can raise of generation of empowered individuals, equipped to shape a brighter future for India.
