Unlocking the value of education beyond
classroom walls into real life
Webinar 11 – Breaking the Mold: Learning Beyond Classroom
Learning is for life. Not merely within the walls of a classroom.
We live at a time when the world around us is rapidly evolving. Therefore, learning has become THE most important skill that one must have, no matter what stage of life you are in.
Traditionally, we would stop learning as soon as we transition from an educational institute to a workplace. Working professionals typically scoff at training arranged by our workplaces because mentally they are not prepared to learn once they exit their academic life.
However, this mindset needs to change, else we will be producing a generation who won’t be able to survive the fast-changing digital world of today. The only way to inculcate and nurture the love and skill of learning is to understand the fact that learning is not confined to classrooms alone.
Our curriculums must break the boundaries and go beyond the horizons of classrooms. It should explore different avenues for learning which will instill in students the hunger to learn when they move out of their institutes.
However, the challenge before us is to figure out how to do this.
This calls for breaking the mold, widening our perspectives and looking beyond the walls of classrooms. The best way to learn history is by visiting museums and monuments. The best way to learn about biology is through nature. The best place to learn engineering is from industries and factories where we see things being engineered.
The key is to ascribe education with a 360-degree approach that connects knowledge with the outer world. And this is the topic of our next webinar from the Education for Life webinar series titled Breaking the Mold: Learning Beyond Classroom.
We invite all educators, teachers, professors, principals, VCs, Chancellors, students and parents to be an active participant of this live virtual webinar. Get a chance to ask direct questions to our speakers who come with strong experience and expertise on this topic.
Because believe it or not – the future belongs to those who know how to learn. Let’s make our students great learners by opening new learning opportunities for them while they are still studying.
